YEAR OVERVIEW
What we’ve been doing…
Cubist Sculptors
For our art project, we had to build a sculpture using a range of art materials in the style of Cubism. Cubism was an early 20th century art movement in which artists including Picasso and Juan Gris, mainly used shapes and collage to represent reality.
Crumble!
For our DT project, we had to plan, prepare and cook an apple crumble. Children were taught how to use knife skills safely, weigh and measure ingredients accurately and follow an in-depth recipe. Mmmmm... delicious.
In a state
In Science, we have been learning about states of matter. The children have really enjoyed observing different materials melting, freezing, evaporating and condensing. Their comprehension of these processes has blown us away!
